Wound Care, Pain Management, and More Ways Our Health Home Aides Help
Have you been looking for hospice services for someone that you love? Do you see the phrase “hospice service” in your research and wonder exactly what that entails? Here at Arclight Hospice, our services are always 100% free to patients and their loved ones. Indeed, all of our services are covered by Medicaid, Medicare, or private insurance. So, you can reach out to us to take care of your loved one without having to worry about the price tag. Below are some of the ways we can help, such as wound care, pain management, and more.
Wound Care
Does your loved one seem to have fragile skin, and perhaps wounds more easily than they used to? Here at Arclight Hospice, our team offers individualized, gentle care that not only heals wounds but encourages and maintains healthy skin. We do through this a comprehensive, holistic approach that combines the best of positioning techniques, hydration protocols, cutting-edge nutrition, and even dressing changes. Should your loved one have deep and/or extensive wounds, we can provide specialized services to assist with those as well.

Pain Management
Our goal, for all of our patients, is to be able to provide comfort care. That means making sure that our patients are as comfortable as possible. In this context, “comfortable” also includes being able to participate fully in daily interactions with their family to the extent that they’re able. So, our pain management is centered around doing everything in our power (medication, other techniques, and so forth) to be able to decrease pain. In addition to that, our pain management also helps to decrease uncomfortable feelings, anxiety, restlessness, and even nausea. Through this, we help our patients as well as their loved ones to be as comfortable as can be.
Bereavement Counseling
We understand how challenging this time can be, for both our patients as well as our loved ones. Indeed, we know that, when a loved one passes away, those who loved them will need care as well. To that end, we offer bereavement counseling as well. Our trained, professional counselors will help patients as well as their loved ones to cope with decline and loss as well as death. As with all of our hospice services, we provide our help when it is needed. To that end, our counselors provide services for loved ones for an entire year after a patient passes. That way, they can work through the stages of grief.
